About
Economy Transdisciplinarity Cognition International Conferences aim to promote disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research and approaches by connecting Romanian professors and researchers with those from other countries and cultures. The works of Professor Basarab Nicolescu, president of the “International Centre for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies”, located in Paris, France (http://nicol.club.fr/ciret/indexen.html), Doctor Honoris Causa of George Bacovia University in Bacău, world promoter of transdisciplinarity, will always stimulate this kind of research.
George Bacovia University in Bacau initiated, in 2008, a new format conference called Economy Transdiciplinarity Cognition. The concept of this format starts from the real necessity of transnational and international research, joining to George Bacovia University in Bacau at least one foreign university from abroad. It is not our aim to organize Economy Transdisciplinarity Cognition Conference two times with the same university. Geographical and cultural diversity is meant to promote multiculturalism, new experiences and to connect George Bacovia University in Bacau to countries from all over the world. Therefore, at the First George Bacovia University in Bacau Conference, held in 2008, our partner was Sakarya University from Sakarya, Turkey and the main theme of the conference was (Post)Epistemic Economies and the Management of Knowledge. Transdisciplinarity as new Knowledge.
The obtained results encouraged us to follow up with this format, organizing in 2010 the second Economy Transdiciplinarity Cognition International Conference with the theme Law - Economic policies - Communitarian development, in collaboration with Rio de Janeiro State University, Brazil. The conference had disciplinary, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary dimensions, with emphasis on the new ideas and creativity, on the future dimensions of any new knowledge able to produce real development.
